Suri who?

That's Justin Timberlake playing in the background, if you were wondering. Our computer speakers don't go loud enough to properly soundtrack anything.

As an addendum to my previous post, I retract at least SOME of the credit given to myself/my role as a parent and instead reflect on the well known proverb -- Re: "It takes a village to raise a child". That's right, even a village with Dan Jover and his raspberry-giving, beer-drinking face.

A special thanks goes out to all of Bridget's wonderful new family and friends.

p.s. God help her nose will never grow as big as mine. Yeesh.

Bridget loves the weather/snowsuits.

I am not great with feelings and whatnot so I thought I’d leave it all to the celebs – they’re people too!

After “puppies vs. babies” and “babies + puppy costumes”, I googled “parenting + celebrity quotes.” I think Ms. Paltrow says it all; her words=RIGHT OUTTA MY MOUTH! “It’s like a whole new dimension of emotion that I never experienced. It’s crazy” – Gwyneth Paltrow

Nah, that’s a bit crap/lame. Here it goes:

While part of me thinks about first steps, words, and first swimming lessons, the most of me thinks about my little baby and never wants her to change. She is so small and wonderful. Not in the way you say, “she’s cute!” – I don’t expect you to understand (condescending! I’m a parent!) I mean, she is so small and helpless.

This child needs me in everyway.

If there is not me and Mike, then who is there? Nobody. She is helpless and scared and it’s me who tells/shows her not to worry. Do you see? It is completely empowering. And oh the adrenaline, the nervousness, the anxiety, the love – it all helps, because it’s a big job, the real thing and I am totally, totally up for it.

And yes, while part of me thinks about kindergarten, grade one and her highschool graduation, the most of me thinks about my little baby and never wants her to change, because (you see?) she needs me in everyway—for now.
